Dear Moss Society Members,

Welcome! This is the second society newsletter for 2019.

Pat Moss News

Pat began her touring season in February and continues to have time to create beautiful new paintings. It is hard to believe that she will be 86 on May 20th. She will celebrate her birthday with family, friends and collectors at the Moss Gallery of Blacksburg’s show May 18th and 19th. The gallery will be moved into their new location in the Kent Square Building in Blacksburg. The address is 216 South Main Street. Pat does have some rest built into her schedule. She will be joining her daughter Mary for the last 4 days of the Panama Quilt Camp at Sea. Sadly this will be the last organized quilting cruise. She is also very excited to return to Italy on May 26th for the Time Around Italy tour with the Moss Society. Here is a link to the trip itinerary. http://mosssociety.org/Time_around_Italy_Moss_tour_2019.pdf

Be on the lookout for this special edition sometime in late May or early June.

Moss Foundation News

Who wants to come to dinner at Pat’s home? The Annual Foundation Fundraising Dinner is scheduled for July 13th on the Memorial Patio at Pat’s Barn in Waynesboro. This is a fantastic time to gather with Pat and all your Moss friends in this casual and comfortable setting located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This year’s dinner is being prepared by Waynesboro’s own Blue Oregano Catering.

Here is the menu:

Fire roasted chicken w/ pineapple mango salsa, Beef brisket, Persian rice stuffed zucchini w/ pistachio & dill, Garlic & herb roasted potatoes, Tossed salad, Rolls, Peach mojito cupcakes, soft drinks, beer and wine from Barren Ridge.

There will be musical entertainment by Richmond’s The Little Tangents. Many of you enjoyed their delightful harmonies last year. A silent, as well as a live auction will be held. The tickets are only $40 for this one-of-a-kind event with our favorite artist. What better way is there to do a good deed than to share an evening meal with friends while raising money for education? You may order your tickets from the Foundation office by calling 800-430-1320, or online through Eventbrite, using this link. https://www.eventbrite.com/o/p-buckley-moss-foundation-for-childrens-education-17012521834

Hope to see you there!

Corey and Marcie are The Little Tangents. Did you know that Corey is a Moss Society member and active with the Moss on the James Chapter?

From the Moss Society and Foundation offices we wish everyone a Happy Easter!
