Anne Cook of Keystone Heights, Florida, is the recipient of the 2016 Judith Cary Leadership Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a student who is working either full-time or part-time toward a special needs certification or undergraduate or graduate degree in the field of special education.
Anne earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida in 2014 and is now planning to work on her Masterís degree in Special Education at Fort Hays State University. Anne describes herself as confident, professional, and friendly. When Anne sees students with special needs, she feels an overwhelming sense of love and compassion. Having relatives with special needs has further inspired her to continue developing her teacher skills and making a difference in the lives of special needs students by encouraging and loving them at every level. Each student is special and unique in their own way and Anne wants to help children feel included.
