Stump Interprets Print Series
"To every thing there is a season, and time to every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3-1. The Seasons of Love series begun by P. Buckley Moss in 2003 for the Society Members-Only Prints reminds us of this familiar Biblical quote. The four works in the series are companion pieces consisting of similar iconography and imagery. Each image incorporates a stately white house, a Moss-style tree, and a circular border to define the seasons and create a similarity in the images.

Society Office Move
Since moving from Ohio to Waynesboro in 1992, the Society office has been located at the Village Outlet Mall. Because this facility has been placed up for sale and the owner does not wish to enter into a long-term lease, the office has moved.

Join the Society in Helping the Hurricane Relief Effort
Our hearts go out to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The devastation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina is heartbreaking, and our thoughts are with those struggling in the aftermath of this disaster. As victims of this natural disaster are attempting to recover, American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina's destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands of victims left homeless with critical necessities.

Chapters Support Ronald McDonald Houses
Probably the single most frequently mentioned charity recipient supported by Society chapters is the Ronald McDonald Houses. The most ambitious effort was the cookbook sponsored by the Virginia and West Virginia chapters in 2000, which raised about $35,000 for the organization. But there are numerous other activities which chapters, as well as individuals, can do to help.

Holly Kirkpatrick Receives 2005 Presidents’ Award
Holly Kirkpatrick is the third recipient of the Society’s Presidents’ Award. An English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Sycamore Elementary School in Kokomo Center Schools in Indiana, she works primarily with students in K-5 but also works with students in the middle schools and the high school.

Hawaiian Travelers Have Fun Experiences in 2005
Fifty-two Moss travelers sailed from Vancouver on Sept. 21 to the Hawaiian islands on the Carnival Spirit. The trip combined a leisurely five days at sea with a busy seven days touring four islands.

Annual Board Report for 2005
The Society has an active membership of approximately 13,000 members. Historically, more than 80 percent of those memberships are renewed each year. The Society has members in every state and in several foreign countries including Canada and England. There are presently 38 active local Society chapters.
