Do you pay any of your bills automatically by credit card? Now you can enroll in the Society’s new Automatic Renewal Program. Each year when membership items are ready for shipment (normally around March), your membership will be renewed automatically and you will receive your renewal items in the first mailing.

Andrew Dempsey-Karp Receives 2011 Cary Award
United States Peace Corp volunteer-Dominican Republic, contagious energy for teaching and learning, creative, a leader, committed to service and community, compassion for others, commitment to the field of special education, and penchant for teaching are but a few of the descriptions for the 2011 winner of the Cary Scholarship, which is awarded to a student who is working either full-time or part-time toward special needs certification or an undergraduate or graduate degree in some field of special education.

John Knudsen Receives 2011 Harbison Award
The recipient of the 2011 Anne and Matt Harbison Scholarship is John Knudsen. Despite his academic challenges and learning differences, John Knudsen has excelled as a student, athlete, and outstanding member of Longwood Senior High School in Middle Island, New York.

Delawrence Perkins Receives Endowed Scholarship
Delawrence Perkins, a senior at Park View High School in Sterling, Virginia, is the recipient of the 2011 P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship, which is awarded to one or more high school seniors with financial need, a certified language-related learning difference, and artistic talent who plan a career in visual arts.
